Yes, the correct answer is indeed D. Egypt.
The Nile River is located in Africa, and given that Egypt is the only country among these options also in Africa, that has to be the correct answer. China is obviously in Asia, Harappa was a Pakistani civilization, and Sumer was in Mesopotamia, which is in today's Iraq.

1. Night of Long Knives (1934)
4. Kristallnacht (1938)
3. Auschwitz opens (1940)
2. Wannsee Conference (1942)

Now a couple of these were a little hard to place, for Auschwitz, I simply put the year in which it was first operational. I've placed the years by the side of each for your reference.

During this time, they were more interested in running a profitable trade with the Natives than actually subjugating those who were already living there. During most of the cold war period which two nations were divided into communist and noncommunist parts
Brums [2.3K]
The correct answers are Korea and Vietnam. After the Korean War ended in a stalemate in 1953, North Korea remained communist while South Korea stayed a capitalist society.

Vietnam was divided between capitalism and communism from the 1950’s all the the way to the middle of the 1970s. During this nearly two decade period, North Vietnam was communist and South Vietnam was capitalist. Eventually North Vietnam and their communist government took over the southern region of this county.
