Answer:

It was the first war of the twentieth century and the first conflict in a state of total war - one in which a nation mobilizes all its resources to make combat possible.

In World War I, technological evolution reached a level never seen before. One example of this is the tank. An ingenuity capable of moving over the roughest terrain and trenching trenches and barbed wire.

And more:

- Naval artillery was also widely used during the conflict.

- The machine gun was responsible for a number of casualties even unimaginable in World War I.

- Torpedoes were used during the conflict to shoot down warships.

- Armored vehicles as well as submersibles were being refined during the conflict.

- The first models of submarines presented, respectively, low speed and small depth diving. Even combat strategies have been refined.

- In World War I chemical weapons accounted for about 100,000 of the 10 million combatants killed. Ie 1% of the total

Answer:

Explanation:

When analyzed as history, the Mao Zedong era (1949–1978) looks different than it did when scrutinized by social scientists. Ever since the founding of the People’s Republic, contemporary observers have identified an underlying reality at odds with the goals and policies pursued by top leaders in Beijing. That underlying reality, scholars found, was characterized by conflict, tension, and variation. Factionalism divided bureaucratic institutions; mass campaigns failed to achieve their aims; local officials subverted policies; groups pursued their own interests. In other words, state control was not always total or centralized but at times appeared limited and tenuous.
