To estimate the square root of a number that is not a perfect square, you would find the perfect squares that the number is between and you know the square roots of those, so the answer will be somewhere between them. The closer you are to the number below the number you are estimating for, the smaller the decimal (_.1, _.2, etc.) and then it is opposite as you get closer to the number above the number you are estimating for.

5x + 7x = 180 ⇒ properties of linear pair
12x = 80 ⇒ addition property (since (5 + 7)x = 12x)
x = 15 ⇒ Division property (since we divide both sides by 12)

HELP ME OUT PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEe
Aneli [31]

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 15× tan25° = 15×0.466 = 6.99 m

r (Hypotenuse) = 15/cos25° = 15/0.906

= 16.56m

the total height = 6.99+16.56 = 23.55 m

For a circle with a radius of 6 feet, what is the measurement of the central angle (in degrees) that intercepts an arc with a le
makkiz [27]

Answer:

135 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the circumference of the circle

The circumference is equal to

C=2\pi r

we have

r=6\ ft

substitute

C=2\pi (6)

C=12\pi\ ft

step 2

Remember that the circumference of the circle subtends a central angle of 360 degrees

so

using proportion

Find out the measurement of the central angle (in degrees) that intercepts an arc with a length of 9π/2 ft

\frac{12\pi}{360^o}=\frac{(9\pi/2)}{x}\\\\x=360(9\pi/2)/12\pi\\\\x=135^o
