First you should know that y=mx+b

m = slope and b = y-intercept
You should start by finding the slope

Slope = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1 : (-7,46) and (-9,58) -7 = x1 , 46 = y1 , -9=x2, 58 =y2

58 - 46 / -9-(-7) = 12 / -2  m = -6

Now you need to find y-intercept

You can pick one of the two coordinates given (-7,46) and (-9,58)

I will pick (-9,58)
y = mx+b , you substitute the values in

58= -6(-9)+b we have to solve for b or y-intercept

58= 54 +b

b = 4

Answer would be y = -6x + 4

Meth Barie's ice cream shop wants to decide whether to introduce a new ice cream flavor. They randomly selected 15 customers at
Marianna [84]

Answer:

Meth Barie's ice cream shop should not introduce the new ice cream flavor.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Population mean, μ = 4.01

Sample mean, \bar{x} = 4.4

Sample size, n = 15

Alpha, α = 0.1

Sample standard deviation, s = 1.6 minutes

First, we design the null and the alternate hypothesis

H_{0}: \mu \leq 4.01\\H_A: \mu > 4.01

We use one-tailed t test to perform this hypothesis.

Formula:

t_{stat} = \displaystyle\frac{\bar{x} - \mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}} }

Putting all the values, we have

t_{stat} = \displaystyle\frac{4.4 - 4.0}{\frac{1.6}{\sqrt{15}} } = 0.968

Option B) 0.968

Rejection region:

Now, t_{critical} \text{ at 0.10 level of significance, 9 degree of freedom } = 1.345

So the rejection region would be a value of t-statistic greater than 1.345.

Option B) t > 1.345

Conclusion:

Since,

t_{stat} < t_{critical}

We fail to reject the null hypothesis and accept the null hypothesis. Meth Barie's ice cream shop should not introduce the new ice cream flavor.

What’s the answer to this
pantera1 [17]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Given f(x) the f(x) + c represents a vertical translation of f(x)

• If c > 0 then a shift up of c units

• If c < 0 then a shift down of c units

Here c = - 6, thus a shift down, thus

g(x) = x² - 6  → A
