Hypoglycemia may be defined as the condition of low blood glucose level of the body. The new born may have hypoglycemia during 2-3 hours after birth.
A small new born has been admitted to nursery and assessment shows that a new born has jitteriness, irregular respiration and high-pitched cry. These all are the symptoms of hypoglycemia. This condition may arise if a newborn mother is diabetic.
