Answer:

w=3

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{2w - 1}{5} + w + 2 = 2w \\ \frac{2w - 1 + 5w + 10}{5} = 2w \\ 7w + 9 = 10w \\ 9 = 10w - 7w \\ 9 = 3w \\ w = 3

How is multiplication using partial products different from multiplication using regrouping? How are they similar?
jeka57 [31]
Partial products are different because partial product you have 2 product when you add together gives you the answer and in regular multiplying it just straight gives you the answer without adding anything.Partial products is easier if you don't know your multiplying facts. They are similar because they both give you the same answer just using different ways of doing it
Hope this helped:-)

Find the first four terms of the sequence given a1=31 and an+1=an−3
Alex

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the formula

a(n+1)=an−3

The first term a(1) = 31

<u>For</u><u> </u><u>the</u><u> </u><u>second</u><u> </u><u>ter</u><u>m</u>

a(2)

We have

a( 1 + 1) = a(1) - 3

a(2) = 31 - 3

a(2) = 28

<u>For</u><u> </u><u>the</u><u> </u><u>thir</u><u>d</u><u> term</u>

a(3)

We have

a(2+1) = a(2) - 3

a(3) = 28 - 3

a(3) = 25

<u>For</u><u> </u><u>the</u><u> </u><u>four</u><u>th</u><u> term</u>

a(4)

That's

a(3+1) = a(3) - 3

a(4) = 25 - 3

a(4) = 22

Hope this helps you
