Why is it important to embrace yourself, understand your limits, have self-esteem and speak up about what you need?
erastova [34]
Embracing yourself means liking yourself for who you are, accepting yourself for who you are. Embracing yourself can help with boosting your self confidence. Understand your limits means how far you shouldn’t go to hurt others. Knowing how far you should take something like a joke not only protects other feelings but prevent any problems from starting. It also is a sign of respect for others. Self esteem is good to have when you are doubting yourself and when you feel like you can’t do it. It is always good to remind yourself that you can do anything if you try hard enough. If you don’t speak up when you need something, everyone will assume that you are fine and don’t want certain things. When you need something it is best to speak up and get it before you regret it further down the road.

How does the foreshadowing in "The Monkey's Paw" by W. W. Jacobs creates tension, suspense, or both.
Margarita [4]

Answer:

Both

Explanation:

Tension and Suspense in Monkey's Paw The writer is able to create tension and suspense through various ways. In the opening sentence of the story we are given a brief description of the surrounding area. In gothic stories, they are usually set in a remote and isolated area, as in the ‘Monkey’s Paw’ it is set in a remote village were there is only 2 houses inhabited. ‘Without, the night was cold and wet’ sets the scene of the story. A gloomy background has been given

to set the atmosphere. This weather

is similar to the feelings of the main characters. This technique used

is called pathetic fallacy, when the weather resembles a persons

feeling.
