they got labor and more land (option C).

Further Explanations:

Headright was a legal allowance of farmlands to settlers that allowed the expansion of thirteen British Colonies within North America. Virginia Company of London offered a grant to settlers which was later followed by Plymouth Company. Headright was implemented in several colonies including South -Carolina, Georgia, North- Carolina, and Maryland. It was given to anyone who agrees to cross the Atlantic Ocean and helps in populating the British colonies. Majority of the headright was for 1,000 acres of land.

The system started in Jamestown, Virginia in the year 1618. It was an effort to solve labor scarcity due to the emergence of the tobacco economy. It gave rise to slavery due to the existence of disproportion of land and labors In the 1670s headright resulted in the enslavement of 400 peoples in Virginia and the count increased a lot during the 1690s.

The system increased conflict between the Native Americans and colonists. Bacon rebel was one of its consequence that created a lot of damage.
