The French and the British punished Germany by making them sign the Treaty of Versailles. Making Germany go under a lot of debt and had to give away a lot of land. (I think) If I was you id still look it up. Also this Japanese series helped me pass my world history class before: Hetalia. It's silly but historically accurate in their WWI and WWII episodes.
