There are many ways in which globalization affects the lives of people around the world. I will mention some of the good consequences of it, as well as some of the bad ones.

  • Globalization has made transportation and communication much faster and efficient.
  • Globalization has raised the standards of living of many people in developing countries.
  • Globalization has made travelling easier, which is good both for travellers and for those who depend on tourism for their subsistence.
  • Globalization has made different cultures and ways of living accessible to the average person.
  • Globalization encourages the exchange of ideas.

<em>Cons</em>:

  • Globalization has often meant "westernization," which means that Western values are imposed everywhere.
  • Because of the process of westernization, cultures have often been affected or diluted.
  • Traditional ways of eating have changed, and fast food has increased, which has worsen the health of people all over the world.
  • Globalization has made competition in the global markets extremely difficult for poor or small countries.
  • Globalization has brought problems of immigration in many areas.
