There are many ways in which globalization affects the lives of people around the world. I will mention some of the good consequences of it, as well as some of the bad ones.

Pros:

 • Globalization has made transportation and communication much faster and efficient.
 • Globalization has raised the standards of living of many people in developing countries.
 • Globalization has made travelling easier, which is good both for travellers and for those who depend on tourism for their subsistence.
 • Globalization has made different cultures and ways of living accessible to the average person.
 • Globalization encourages the exchange of ideas.

Cons:

 • Globalization has often meant "westernization," which means that Western values are imposed everywhere.
 • Because of the process of westernization, cultures have often been affected or diluted.
 • Traditional ways of eating have changed, and fast food has increased, which has worsen the health of people all over the world.
 • Globalization has made competition in the global markets extremely difficult for poor or small countries.
 • Globalization has brought problems of immigration in many areas.

How can our interpretations of the Constitution change?
Alexxandr [17]
Well first of all, the Constitution can be interpreted in many different ways just like any other passage that you might read. These interpretations change over time based on events that happen and society changing. For example the Second Amendment has the possibility of being repealed in the near future because of public shootings.
An amendment is the only way to change the Constitution and they are formal as I'm pretty sure that both houses of Congress-the Senate and the House of Representatives- has to agree to the change.

Do you think that government representatives truly represent the people or are they more interested in taking care of themselves
Gemiola [76]
It's truly dependent upon the area represented. Smaller-level governance is definitely focused on the individual and small group, since the representative is directly responsible and able to communicate openly with their constituents. When the levels reach state and federal representatives, it becomes tougher to directly communicate because of the greater distance (and more levels) between the representative and the constituent.
