Well, there are many ways and all speakers do it differently, but the main ones are as follows:
They keep their eyes focused on the audience.
They don't move around too much or it'll distract people.
They try to make their voices as clear as possible.
They use things to their advantage. For example, if you were speaking at a "save the puppies!" campaign, you might talk about all the lost puppies and how sad it makes the world and such.
I hope that helps and if you need anything more, don't hesitate to ask!

To what purpose, April, do you return again?
Jlenok [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

The poet of these lines, Edna St. Vincent Millay, imagines a speaker who is sick of spring and everything that goes along with the season changing. Millay employs word choice such as "stickily" in order to make the beauty of new leaves growing on the trees seem grotesque. She also names the leaves as "little" further diminishing the importance of the season changing. The speaker calls out directly to April in the first line ("To what purpose, April, do you return again?"). This line can be read as threatening or condecensing in light of the word choice in the poem as the speaker is angry at April's return. The speaker concluses that "I know what I know," marking themselves as more knowledgable about the world than spring and April.

Letter to opera singer - Maria Callas

Letter:

Applepi101

<u>-------------------------------</u>

Dear <u>Miss Callas</u>,

Last night, I was at <u>the Verona Arena</u> to see your beautiful <u>voice</u> with <u>a couple of my companions</u>. Your <u>voice</u> was <u>beautiful</u> and simply <u>moved me to tears</u>. The ability to perform a <u>wide variety of different roles was astounding and the dramatic strength of your low vocal range as much as the high and bright notes of your high range</u> was something I thought was <u>almost impossible</u>. I admire your <u>unique skills</u> when you <u>sang "Con Onor Muore"</u>, which I believe <u>means "With honor dies" in Italian</u>.

Sincerely,

<u>Appleπ101</u>

Hope this helps!
