There are number of factors which I will consider. These include:

Atmosphere: If the students in the university are well diversified from cultural aspect, it might trigger a sense of acceptance of changes in the university. The future belongs to the generation who are change oriented.

Reputation: Of course everybody who wants to sign in ink a relation from which they want to benefit in number of ways will bother to think about the university reputation and its recognition. I am gonna invest physically and financially on career so I want a fair return which is its degree recognition.

Geographical importance: If their is an alternative and that has equivalent quality of education and recognition then the university that is nearer will be priority.

Quality of education and academic staff: The interaction of academic staff represents that  how friendly they are. Because the more friendly the academic staff is the more are the chances that their is no asking barrier between students and teachers. And the more student ask the more they learn.

Tuition Fees: If am financially strong then this might not be an issue but if I am not financially strong I might think of studying elsewhere.

Scholarships: If their are a lot of scholarships then this might be attractive point for me to join the University.

Employment prospect: If the most of the graduates from Santa Clara university are employed than other universities then there is a great chance that I will opt Santa Clara university.
