Answer:

The correct answer is a drought.

Explanation:

A landslide is incorrect because when the ground shakes it can sometime cause the ground to shift making it unstable. When this happens the dirts becomes loose and starts the landslide.

A tsunami is incorrect because the vibration caused by the earth quake causes the earth to vertically displace causing the tsunami.

And the wildfires occur because the vibration of the tectonic plates can cause gas lines to leak casing a fire the spreads very quickly.

Hope this helps :)

Mountains and high places such as cliffs in front of oceans could be good for defense because you have the high ground and an easier to attack ships.
Ground that is very fertile and has enough access to sun could prove very good to plant crops and make farms.
Rivers and lakes could come off of a mountain so being on lower ground could be good to provide water for yourselves and your crops or animals that are used for food.
Idaho had good soil for potatoes and farming. Towns with lakes and hills would be good for water and farming and life with a family in general.
You would want to avoid rocky ground and mountains unless you wanted to protect yourself, so avoiding new england and also high places like colorado.

Explain how scale is used on a map and why it is an important tool
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

Scale on a map is important in order to give the map reader a sense of size. Maps are just about always smaller than what they really represent, and scale is a way of quantifying how much smaller they are.

First, find yourself a map. Then, using two points, find both the distance on the map and the true distance. Next, you divide the true distance by the measured map distance, and find your scale. Last, you need to place that ratio onto your map.
