The environment can act directly on phenotypes, which are, of course the variations presented by genotypes. Genotype does determine phenotype but it is the phenotype which is exposed to the external environment so selection pressures can only act on the traits individuals have, not what gives them the trait i.e. if the same trait is produced by two different genotypes selection will act equally on both.

Somebody help me out
Bingel [31]

Answer:

SecondOption - "Mid oceanic ridge"

Explanation:

Mid-ocean ridges are formed by divergent plate boundaries in the ocean. This is where upwelling magma creates new seabed. A diverging plate boundary occurs when two plates move away from one other. Magma rises from deep beneath the Earth and erupts along these boundaries, forming new crust on the lithosphere. The majority of divergent plate borders are undersea, forming submerged mountain ranges known as oceanic spreading ridges.
