When you evaluate an article, who should you consider? Select all that apply.

You should consider:

  • the publisher ( This will  give you information about the quality and the intentions of the person who has invested money on the publication. If the publisher is interested in making money, the article will have shallow ideas and these will be probably descriptive. Whereas, if the publisher is interested in making good information public, the article will have argumentations and evidence).
  • the author ( The author's socio-cultural and academic background will affect the article. If the author is an Afro-American scientist, the article will be shaped by his view of the world. If the author is an astrologist, the article will not be academic)

These options are not right:

-yourself ( You ,yourself, have not taken any part in the writing of the article).

-teacher ( A teacher can recomend an article but she will not be part of it)

-instructor ( The same as above).

Answer:

The common theme of poem 'Invictus' and play 'The Crucible'  is fate and resilience.

Explanation:

"Invictus" is a poem written by William Ernest Henley. The poem is about the suffering or pains that the poet went through when he suffered from a bout with tuberculosis. The poem speaks about the times when a person goes through a dark and trying time and the ability of humans to overcome it. The main message of the poem or the theme is that human can control their fate through resilience.

This theme is evident in the last lines of the poem when the poet says that he is the master of his fate and his soul.

<em>"I am the master of my fate, </em>

<em>I am the captain of my soul."</em>

<em />

<em>"My head is bloody, but unbowed."</em>

<em />

"The Crucible" is a play written by Arthur Miller based on the true incidents of the Salem witch trials. The theme of fate and resilience can also be seen this play in the last scene of the play, when Proctor decided to control his fate. In the last scene of the play, Proctor refuses to sign his name on the paper and be hung on the wall of the church. He decided not to sign, because he knew he was innocent, not in the sight of men but in God. He knew that there is a greater Judgment than this is coming, which will prove his innocence. Thus he takes control of his fate by choosing to be hunged than be shamed and lose his name.

<em>"PROCTOR: Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life. Because </em>

<em>I am not worth the dust on the feet of them that hang! How may I live without my name? </em>

<em>I have given you my soul, leave me my name!"</em>

<em />

<em>"PROCTOR: (Crossing slowly to Elizabeth, takes her hand for a moment.) Pray God it  speak some goodness for me."</em>

gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

Believe it or not, higher-density development generates less traffic than low-density development per unit. While residents of low-density single-family communities often have two or more cars per household, residents of high-density apartments and condominiums tend to have only one car per household.

Fixed-alternative and scale questions are what type of questions? a. potential b. closed-ended c. open-ended d. analytical
Rashid [163]

The type of question Fixed-alternative and scale questions are open-ended.

Because a question on a test or survey when multiple different answers are provided, and participants are asked to select the one that best fits their preference or the correct response. a good illustration of a fixed-alternative query. Sometimes, a closed question—which can also refer to any enquiry requiring a brief, specific response—is used to describe a fixed-alternative query.

A question that cannot be answered with a simple "yes" or "no" or with a fixed solution is said to be open-ended. Open-ended inquiries are framed as statements that call for a more in-depth response. The answer can be compared to knowledge that the questioner already has.
