Answer:

Biogeochemical cycle is a type of cycle in which water moves through the biosphere or living part of the earth surface.

Energy flows through an ecosystem and is dissipated as heat, but chemical elements are recycled.

The ways in which an element—or compound such as water—moves between its various living and nonliving forms and locations in the biosphere is called a biogeochemical cycle.

Biogeochemical cycles important to living organisms include the water, carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur cycles.

Explanation:

Energy flows directionally through Earth’s ecosystems, typically entering in the form of sunlight and exiting in the form of heat. However, the chemical components that make up living organisms are different: they get recycled.

What does that mean? For one thing, the atoms in your body are not brand new. Instead, they've been cycling through the biosphere for a long, long time, and they've been part of many organisms and nonliving compounds along the way. You may or may not believe in reincarnation as a spiritual concept, but there's no question that atoms in your body have been part of a huge number of living and nonliving things over the course of time!

Answer:

Biogeochemical cycle is a type of cycle in which water moves through the biosphere or living part of the earth surface.

Explanation:

In this cycle, water moves from the living bodies from a number of processes such as transpiration, breathing and evaporation. Water is very important for all living organisms because about 70 % of the body of living organism is made up of water. Water is a universal solvent so that's why plants takes nutrients from the soil with water. Without water plants are unable to take nutrients from the soil so water plays a key role in the survival of living organisms.

Which kind of of electrical charge is found on a hydrogen atom of a polar water molecule? A. A negative charge, because of a cov
charle [14.2K]

Answer:

D. A positive charge, because of a covalent bond with oxygen

Explanation:

A water molecule contain both hydrogen and oxygen atom. Water is a polar molecule because it has positive electric charge in one of it's poles and negative charge on the other. The hydrogen is positively charged and the oxygen is negatively charged which are bonded by covalent bond. Hydrogen is positively charged because it cannot attract electrons strongly like oxygen which is positively charged. There is unequal sharing of electrons in water molecules and this is why oxygen is slightly negative and hydrogen is slightly positive.

Hearing is considered _____________, because the ear receives mechanical vibrations and translates them into nerve impulses.
andriy [413]

Answer:

Mechanoreception

Explanation:

Mechanoreception is usually defined as the ability of an organism, such as humans and animals, to perceive and react to certain types of stimuli. This may include a sensation like sound, touch, that are produced in an environment.

This involves the conversion of sound waves (which are mechanical vibrations) into nerve impulses which are in the form of electrical signals. Initially, this process starts with the vibration of the eardrum and immediately transmits these vibrations towards the three small bones that are located in the middle portion of the ear. These are then carried by the auditory nerve into the brain. The brain finally converts this information into electrical signals. This entire process eventually leads to the creation of sound within the temporal lobe inside the brain.
