Hey!

To solve this problem, we'd have to multiply both sides by 3. So your new problem would look something like this...

Original Equation :
\frac{x}{3} = 12

New Equation :
\frac{3x}{3} = 12 · 3

Then you'd simply solve, or simplify to get your answer.

Solution {New Equation Solved} :
x=36

So, to answer your question, you'd have to multiply both sides by 3. The solution to this problem is x = 36.

Hope this helps!

Matt starts swimming lessons on 5 day . He goes every 10 days . How many lessons will Matt go to in 30 days?
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer: 3 lessons

Step-by-step explanation:

Matt starts swimming lessons on Day 5.

He then goes to swimming lessons every 10 days. The dates he went on lessons are therefore:

First lesson = Day 5

Second lesson = Day 5 + 10 days = Day 15

Third lesson = Day 15 + 10 days = Day 25

Fourth lesson = Day 25 + 10 days= Day 35

He therefore only went for 3 lessons because the 4th lesson was after Day 30.

20 points please help.
astraxan [27]

Answer:
The student's score closest to 91 percentile.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the scores on the standardized test are approximately normally distributed, we would apply the formula for normal distribution which is expressed as

z = (x - µ)/σ

Where

x = test scores.

µ = mean score

σ = standard deviation

From the information given,

µ = 480

σ = 90

If a student has a score of 600, then x = 600

For x = 600,

z = (600 - 480)/90 = 1.33

Looking at the normal distribution table, the probability corresponding to the z score is 0.91

the student's score closest to 91 percentile.
