Gravitational force between two objects depends on the mass of each object  and the distance between the object. this makes the correct answer: D (Both B and C). We can conclude this from the Newton's equation:

E(grav) (proportional to) m1*m2/d^2,

where E is the force of gravitational attraction, m1 and m2 are the masses of the objects and d is the distance that separates their centers.

The main reason african countries had difficulty establishing democracies was because of poverty
Anna [14]
The answer is a) True

Since Independence, almost every African country has been plagued by the cycle of Poverty.

Poverty has led to the development of a culture of bribery and kickbacks in between almost every aspect of the government.

With little investment in education and health, the average person has suffered even more.

Many African countries have taken on billions of dollars of debt that they can never pay off.

This has resulted in a 'debt trap' where the little money a country is able to generate, has to be paid in the forms of loans.

Lack of government funds, poor infrastructure, low education, high corruption has also resulted in numerous local rebels and quasi-militia factions mushrooming to challenge what they see as failed governments.

When you combine all these factors, you can see how poverty has resulted in a Pandora's box of problems for African countries.

A thrust fault increases the thickness of the crust as it moves toward a continental interior in a mountain belt; yet the crust
enyata [817]

Answer:

subside

Explanation:

Isostasy is a geographical term which describes the condition of gravitational equilibrium that exists within the Earth's crust and mantle, there by, making the crust stays above a heights that relies on its physical attributes, such as thickness and density.

In Isostasy, its occurrence process involves principles of buoyancy in which an Earth crust apply stress on the less stronger mantle, such that for over a geological time moves laterally in a way that the load is contained by height adjustments.

Hence, Isostasy would suggest that the area at the mountain front, where the thrust emerges, should SUBSIDE over time.
