30-8.25= 21.75

21.75/3.75= 5.8, you can't buy .8 of a soda so he could buy 5 sodas.

I was wondering if someone would help me with some show your work questions...
adell [148]

Answer:

5/6

Step-by-step explanation:

to add fractions they need to have a common denominator

make 1/3 have a denominator of 18

1/3(6) = 6/18

9/18 + 6/18 = 15/18

15/18 can be simplified to 5/6

Please help me I don’t understand
Delvig [45]

Answer: I don't understand either :{

But I do know that you have to look at the little letters to answer the questions about the triangle. Like when it asks, "What are the possible values for x?" you have to find x then say what the possible values for x are. Hope that helps a little bit

A classmate is 22 years younger than your instructor. Write an equation that will determine your classmate’s age (y) if given yo
Dima020 [189]

Hey there, we are given quite a lot of information in this problem. First of all, let's make an equation.

y = x - 22

where y = student's age

where x = instructor's age

this equation is correct because x(instructor) - 22 will yield the student's age (y).

If the instructor were 44 years old, the student would be 22 years old.

y = 44 - 22

y = 22

If the instructor were 66 years old, the student would be 44 years old.

y = 66 - 22

y = 44

A variable force of magnitude F(x) moves a body of mass m along the x-axis from x1 to x2. The net work done by the force in movi
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

w=\frac{1}{2}m(v^2_2-v^2_1)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a variable force of magnitude F(x) moves a body along the x- axis from x_1 to x_2.

The net work done by the force in moving the body from x_1 to x_2 .

v_1=Velocity of the body at x_1

v_2=Velocity of the body at x_2

We know that

Work done=Final kinetic energy-Initial kinetic energy

w=\frac{1}{2}mv^2_2-\frac{1}{2}mv^2_1

K.E=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

Net\;work \;done=\frac{1}{2}m(v^2_2-v^2_1)

Hence, the net work done by the force is given by

w=\frac{1}{2}m(v^2_2-v^2_1)
