How does silica affect the characteristics of magma?

Biology

If there is more silica, then the magma becomes more viscous, and if the magma is more viscous, then the volcanic explosions tend to be much much larger. lower silica counts allow the magma to flow much farther, as they wouldnt be as viscous: examples of this would be the volcano in hawaii, as this is a shield volcano.

What will happen if we put a Rhoeo leaf in plain water?
Oksanka [162]

If we put a Rhoeo leaf in plain water, the water concentration of the leaf cells will be higher than that of the plain water. The aim is to balance water concentration on the inside and outside of the organism. So, the water will exit the leaf cells, which will consequently shrink in size. The most of the cells will shrink in size, causing the leaf to shrink, too.

When water is distilled, any solutes dissolved in the water are left behind. Is distilled water hypertonic or hypotonic compared
Illusion [34]

Answer:

Hypotonic

Explanation:

Tap water contains a lot of solutes and ions that are absent in distilled water. The solution that has more solutes (more dissolved solids) will be the hypertonic solution.

Here, distilled water has no solutes, making it hypotonic.
