If there was no blockade, the Confederacy would have gotten foreign aid from France or others. That would increase their imports and given them more supplies. They would have also been able to export cotton, their major crop, for money. The blockade stopped them from doing that and basically choked them into defeat, that is why it was called the Anaconda Plan.

How did the great compromise address the concerns of small and large states
Lilit [14]
The Great Compromise settled the method of representation in the legislative branch (the US Congress). Small states wanted equal representation (equality by state), and large states wanted representation based on population (equality by vote). Under the compromise, all states were represented equally in the Senate.

How does the media influence the policy agenda of the President and the public agenda of the American public?
MrMuchimi

Answer:

Today, many political analysts agree in classifying journalism and the media as the fourth branch of democracy, in addition to the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch. This means, according to these analysts, that journalism exercises a determining power within the framework of democracy, decisively influencing public opinion in society and establishing issues of interest to citizens.

Ultimately, there is a covert manipulation through the dissemination of news, which implies that citizens consume a certain agenda or ideology through them. Thus, the media modify the public agenda, creating needs in the citizenry, which begins to demand these from the politicians, modifying in turn the political agenda of the nation.
