Answer:

D. It has been passed down for many generations and symbolizes her family heritages.

Explanation:

Alice Walker's "Everyday Use" tells the story of a Black family surviving in their neighborhood and the daughter's differing takes on their heritage. Mama is the mother of the two daughters Dee and Maggie, who has contrasting values and appreciation of their family and their heritage.

The daughter Dee was an educated lady who lives in another "fancy" city, away from the family who she seems to despise. Her sister Maggie, on the other hand, was a traditionalist like her mother. She knows the value of their family and the importance of the stuffs that's been passed down through generations. Dee was named after her aunt Dicie, who got her name from Grandma Dee and so on. It has been passed down for many generations and it symbolizes her family heritages. But she doesn't seem to have any regard for its significance for we see from the visit that she had changed her name to Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo.

Short story a girl was walking home one day
maw [93]

Answer:

i  would like to keep it short and simple.

A girl was walking  home one day from her work and she was quite late while  returning she saw some guys near the bus stop were staring at her and she was feeling uncomfortable so she increased her speed and her only goal was to reach home as soon as possible .

After a while she observed that the guys started following her and she was becoming more and more nervous so she ran and she safely reached at home.

So what do we understand from this story, girls in India are  not safe at all there are dome bad people out there who have wrong intention and we are helpless so girls have to be more caution and should take major steps for their safety.

Which excerpt from John Updike's "The Brown Chest" includes a historical reference for the story?
bogdanovich [222]
The chest, on that day of moving, had been set in the new attic, which was smaller than the other, and less frightening, perhaps because gaps in the cedar-shingled roof let dabs of daylight in. When the roof was being repaired, the whole space was thrown open to the weather. This is the answer.
