a) 214 in

b) 18 feet

Explanation:

Arc length formula = 2πr×∅/360°

Given r= 48 in  and ∅=255° then

Arc length = 2×3.14×48×255°/360° =213.62 = 214 in

Changing inches to feet, you divide inch value by 12

214/12 =17.80 = 18 feet
