The Cretaceous Period was the last and longest period of the Mesozoic Era. It lasted 79 million years.
1. Any cone-bearing trees would release their seeds. These trees make the fires advantageous to their species by having the seeds "explode" when heat touches the cones.
2. The ashes from the burned trees would help nourish the released seeds.
3. New wildlife will begin as the baby trees develop and grow
Plants go through a process called photosynthesis where they take in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere (as well as water and sunlight), and they turn it into oxygen (so we can breathe) and glucose (sugar)!
