During the Second Industrial Revolution, the labor movement in the United States grew out of the need to protect the common interest of workers. These labor unions fought for better wages, reasonable hours and safer working conditions as during that time, the working conditions in factories, mills, and mines were terrible. What would be the MOST likely reason Puritans decided to establish the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1620? A) social causes B) eco
vagabundo [1.1K]

The MOST likely reason Puritans decided to establish the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1620 was because of "religious freedom."

This is evident the first governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony, John Winthrop, claimed that the group of Protestants was settling on "a city upon a hill,” which was considered a new English Israel.

The Puritan groups would later settle in other areas such as New Haven Colony, the Connecticut Colony, and Rhode Island.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that the correct answer is option C. "Religious freedom."
