Although most humans remained nomadic for a time, some settled into permanent places in areas that provided for them year-round.
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

Permanent houses, hospitals, schools and cultivation of crops.

Explanation:

Settling and staying in one area or location allowed humans to make permanent houses where they lived forever because that area has all the facilities available which is necessary for living. Humans also started to cultivate food crops instead of hunting in order to fulfill their food needs. Humans also make hospitals and educational institution for themselves in order to educate their children and maintain their health status.

How was racial violence used to deny rights to African Americans
Mademuasel [1]
As an intimidation tactic.

Think about it:

If black kids are beaten up for going to school, will they even want to go to school?

If a black man was going to go vote, but the night before, the local sheriff came by and told him he'd "cause trouble" for him and his family if he votes, will he still want to vote?

Basically, violence was used to scare black people into obeying.

Doss [256]

Dred Scott would remain a slave and, as a slave, was not a U.S. citizen and was considered property. The Chief Justice of this case, John Marshall, said that Scott shouldn't have even brought his case to court because he is a slave.
