ANSWER

129

EXPLANATION

The given expression is:

4^2×2^3- (14-16)÷2

Deal with the parenthesis first.

4^2×2^3- ( - 2)÷2

4^2×2^3 + 2÷2

Deal with exponents,

16×8+ 2÷2

Divide now

16×8 + 1

Multiply

128 + 1

You can now add to get

129

The order of operations is PEDMAS

My teachers taught me a trick make a C from the top to bottom

so 5  1/2 would be

5 times 1 + 2 so denominator stays the same so it 7/2.

bottom one is 22/4

 make a C from top to bottom and multiply outer number to top add the bottom to that then keep denominator the same.

Hope i helped.

Which expression is equivalent to StartRoot StartFraction 25 x Superscript 9 Baseline y Superscript 3 Baseline Over 64 x Supersc
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

\displaystyle \frac{5x}{8y^{4}}\sqrt{x}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Simplfy in Algebra </u>

We have the following expression

\displaystyle E=\sqrt{\frac{25x^9y^3}{64x^6y^{11}}}

Simplifying like factors in the denominator and numerator

\displaystyle E=\sqrt{\frac{25x^3}{64y^{8}}}

All the factors are perfect squares except x^3, thus we rewrite:

\displaystyle E=\sqrt{\frac{25xx^2}{64y^{8}}}

Taking the square root of all the perfect square factors:

\boxed{\displaystyle E=\frac{5x}{8y^{4}}\sqrt{x}}

laila [671]

Answer:

  1.6 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Their separation speed is 95 +105 = 200 miles per hour. The time required for the given distance is ...

  time = distance/speed

  time = (320 mi)/(200 mi/h) = 1.6 h

It will take 1.6 hours for the trains to be 320 miles apart.
