  • Various important and historic trade routes such as the Silk Road, Trans-Saharan trade route, and Silk Road were made during this time period so that empires and countries could buy and sell goods from around the world.
  • These trade routes made various changes to the environment as well. People started settling on the trading routes and started degrading the environment for settlement.
