The Guest is a short story by the French Writer Albert Camus. It was first published in 1957 as a part of collection entitled Exile and the kindom. The French title "L'Hote" translates in both "the guest" and "the host" which titles back to the relationship between the main characters of the story.
He is shocked and terrified and calls on his family for help. He rushes out of his room to seek help. He determines to continue with his normal work and family relationships.
