Answer

Find out  the what is her monthly fixed charge .

To prove

Let us assume that the cost per mintues = x

Let us assume that the monthly charge be = y

As given

n Chatty Cathy’s cell phone plan she pays for minutes used plus a fixed monthly charge.

For 500 minutes she pays $35 total

Than the equation becomes

500x + y = 35

As given

for 1500 minutes used she pays $55 total.

Than the equation becomes

1500x + y = 55

Subtracted 500x + y = 35 from 1500x + y = 55

1500x - 500x + y - y = 55 - 35

1000x = 20

x = \frac{20}{1000}

x = $0.02

Put in the  500x + y = 35

500 × 0.02 + y = 35

10 + y = 35

y = 35 - 10

y = $25

Therefore the monthly fixed charge be $25.

Answer:

  • 367.6 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Use trigonometry

<u>Let the height of the cloud be x, then we have:</u>

  • tan 35° = x/525
  • x = 525 tan 35°
  • x = 367.6 (rounded)

The height of the cloud layer is 367.6 m

Calculate the gradient of the line using rise/run method.
Lapatulllka [165]

Given:

The graph of line.

To find:

The gradient of the line using rise/run method.

Solution:

We know that the gradient of a line is also known as slope.

Slope=\dfrac{Rise}{Run}

Consider the two intercepts, then rise is distance between origin and y-intercept and run is the distance between origin and the x-intercept. But rise must be negative because the value of y decreased from 3 to 0.

Rise=-3

Run=2

Now,

Slope=\dfrac{Rise}{Run}

Slope=\dfrac{-3}{2}

The gradient of the line is -\dfrac{3}{2}.

Therefore, the correct option is C.

Bring the fraction a/a−4 to a denominator of 16−a^2<br><br> really do appreciate this thx
RSB [31]

Answer:

-a(a+4)/(16 - a²)

Step-by-step explanation:

            a/(a - 4)                  Multiply by (a + 4)/(a + 4)

= a(a + 4)/[(a – 4)(a + 4)]     Multiply the denominatorator terms

= a(a + 4)/(a² - 16)               Multiply by -1/(-1)

= -a(a+4)/(-a² + 16)              Reorder terms in denominator

= -a(a+4)/(16 - a²)
