He observed species isolated from relatives that evolved differently than those that were not isolated, this showed that a specied will adapt to its surroundings and conditions to better survive

Darwin published his Theory of Evolution in 1859. He wrote about his study of the Galapagos islands. Charles stayed in the islands for about 20 years studying birds. He watched overtime, the birds change. He saw finches have their beaks grown bigger, which was his main study. Darwin wrote that the finches beaks grew because of evolution.
