Coming from an Igbo person the traditional aspects would probably have to be The Dowry/ Bride Price Payment (Ime Ego). The wine-carrying (Igbankwu) in where the bride carries a cup of palm wine to the groom.  (Igbokwe) prior to the ceremony the groom must visit the brides compound with his father and ask the brides father for permission to marry.
