When I was eight my dad was watching the news and it was a child who had been murdered by her mom. She was the same age as me and attended Rex bell the same school I attended to. I asked if that was Alesha and he didn’t respond he shuttled the tv off and tried to explain it was nothing and it was early Halloween decorations being shown on the news. I was very confused and upset because it was no where near Halloween I wanted to know more about it but all he said was it was just about Halloween. An hour or two passes and his roommate came home and when he sat down I was asked to leave the room so I walked to my room trying to listen. He explained to him that a little girl was murdered by her drugged put mom with a pair of scissors and telling him it was my friend Alesha.

I ran into the room confused confronting my dad that it wasn’t Halloween decorating and I could see the life drain out of my dad. He looks up to me and grabs my arms and hugs me as he said the world is cold and where we live is horrible he kept saying sorry about Alesha and that she was in a better place. Being a naive child I had a view of the world that it was a sick place but I never thought someone I knew would be killed. They never wanted to tell me any of this which would always frustrated me and I’d be told when I’m older I’ll understand. I wish I had listened because it was an early age I had to learn this type of stuff

Sidana [21]

Although you did not present the article to which this question refers, we can say that it allows the author of the article to present the male gender as the most affected in relation to the interaction of adolescents with media similar to online and electronic games. In this case, this information promotes statistical evidence, which helps the author to reformulate the argument about how genres are affected by the media in different ways in relation to the content they provide.
