Strong proponents of individual liberty, they vigorously criticized the omission of a bill of rights, which was included in many state constitutions. I agree more with the positions of the Federalists, as a strong central government was necessary for the economic and political development of the United States in the 1800s. Without this system, the United States of America would not have succeed as they had in international issues, because of lacking of a strong central governing body to manage those issues.

The Federalist Party was active from 1792 to 1816. It was created during the first Washington administration to support the fiscal policy of the Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton, being the party in favor of a strong federal state.

Its first leaders were John Adams and Alexander Hamilton, but their great reference is George Washington. Of all its members who exerted the greatest long-term influence was the President of the Supreme Court of the United States, John Marshall.
