Let x= dryer
x+93= washer

x+ x+93=793
combine like terms
2x+93= 793
subtract 93 from both sides
2x=700
divide by 2
x= 350
the dryer cost $350

hope this helps

The dryer costs x.
The washer costs $93 more than the dryer, so it costs x+93.
The washer and the dryer cost $793 altogether.

x+x+93=793 \\
2x=793-93 \\
2x=700 \\
x=\frac{700}{2} \\
x=350

The cost of the dryer is $350.

Use the definition f ′(x) = h0f(x + h) - f(x)h to find the derivative. f(x)=x+2
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

f'(x) = 1

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Calculus</u>

  • Limit Properties: \lim_{n \to a} c = c
  • Definition of a Derivative: f'(x)= \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

f(x) = x + 2

<u>Step 2: Find derivative</u>

  1. Substitute:                         f'(x)= \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{((x + h) + 2)-(x+2)}{h}
  2. Distribute:                          f'(x)= \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{x + h + 2-x-2}{h}
  3. Combine like terms:         f'(x)= \lim_{h \to 0} \frac{h}{h}
  4. Divide:                               f'(x)= \lim_{h \to 0} 1
  5. Evaluate:                           f'(x)= 1

Given: ∆ABC –iso. ∆, m∠BAC = 120°
lidiya [134]

Answer: P\triangle ADH = (a+b+\sqrt{a^2+b^2} ) unit

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Here Δ ABC is a isosceles triangle.

Also, AH\perp BC and HD\perp AC

Thus, ∠ ADH = 90°

That is, Δ ADH is the right angle triangle.

In which, AD = a unit and HD = b unit

And, By the definition of Pythagoras theorem,

AH^2 = HD^2 + AD^2

⇒ AH^2 = a^2 +b^2

⇒ AH = \sqrt{a^2+b^2}

Since, the perimeter of a triangle = sum of the all sides of the triangle.

Therefore, perimeter of ΔADH = AD + DH + AH

= a + b + \sqrt{a^2+b^2} unit
