Which of the following would be the most effective thesis statement for an informative speech?

English

The correct answer is A: Three major themes of Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter are sin, forgiveness, and past vs. present.

Remember that a thesis statement is a one-sentence summary of an essay's main ideas. Because it is a summary, it should give a clear overview of the paper's main points.

Answer B does not fit this criteria -- what, specifically, is the symbolism the paper will discuss? This statement does not say; therefore, it is not an acceptable thesis.

Answer C is a question; therefore, it is automatically not a thesis statement.

Answer D sounds good, but it's either not a thesis for an informative paper or it is an analysis that should come somewhere later in a paper. It doesn't summarize the main points of the paper; it only draws a conclusion.

Answer A is the best answer. Notice that it names both the author and the title of the work being discussed, and it provides an oveview of the paper's main points. This thesis says it will discuss three themes and then specifically lists those themes. This is a good thesis for an informative paper.

Therefore, Answer A is the best thesis statement for an informative speech.

A thesis statement cannot be a question, so I'd rule C out. Also, B is very short for a thesis statement.
So  the most effective thesis statement for an informative speech could either be A or D, but I'd pick A. Three major themes of Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter are sin, forgiveness, and past vs. present.

Answer:

When it comes to automobiles, there's many pros & cons. Many americans benefit from the invention but is the environment benefiting from it? Could we live without the invention & still do perfectly fine? There's many other alternatives to automobiles but at the same time, they're also useful.

Some pros of the automobile include: more job openings & easier travel. Because of cars, It opened up roads, which opened up some jobs, then there was convenient stores, which opened jobs. Back then people either had to walk or ride a horse to get to where they needed to go, which took a long

Some cons of the automobile include: less exercise & more air pollution. Because of cars, now not as many people walk or bike, which can affect our health in a negative way. Research has showed that cars are the main cause of air pollution which causes some people to have breathing problems & in general isn't healthy to breathe.

Overall, the invention is super useful. (talk about which side youre more for, keeping them or finding alternatives)

I really hope this helps!! Sorry it's not the best

How a store,

Fractions are simply a division expression.

The expression (10)/(60) simply does not make sense in this situation because you are not arranging ten cans of soup into sixty rows (which is impractical), you are arranging sixty cans of soup into ten rows, six cans in each row.

The fraction for this situation should be represented (60)/(10)

(sixty over ten)

because sixty is being divided by ten.
