The correct answer is B) Check Number, Description, Balance.

This is a table that could be used to maintain a record of account transactions. It is similar to what is found in a checkbook

ledger. Some of its column headings are missing. These columns should be labeled as Check Number, Description, Balance.

One of the most important things you have to do in your business if you want to maintain proper control of the daily transactions is to have a record account of each of them. You could say that is the job of an accountant and it is, but you have to oversee that all transactions are recorded to know how your business is doing and pay the proper taxes. Many new businesses fail because they do not keep a proper recording system.

When heavy rain ruined the banana crop in central america, the price of bananas rose from $0.90 a pound to $1.10 a pound. ban
HACTEHA [7]

Answer: Total revenue is given by

TR=P*Q

When price of bananas increase from $0.90 to $1.10 a pound and total revenue remained unchanged, it means that the quantity of Bananas sold must have decreased.

Suppose at $0.90 we sold 10 pound bananas getting us $9 revenue.

This means that at $1.10 we have to sell 8 Banana's to get the same amount of revenue.

So, change in quantity = = \frac{10-8}{10} = 20%

So, their is a decline of 20% in the quantity of Bananas sold.

Cantor Company had 1,100 units of product in its Work in Process inventory at the beginning of the period. During the period Can
Helen [10]

Answer:

Amount to be transferred out of Work in process = 5,400 units * $63.13

                                                                                  = $340,902

Explanation:

Finished goods

opening       1,100

production   5,300

closing        - 1,000

Finished good = 5,400 units

Completed goods = finished goods transferred + 20% complete WIP

                              = 5,400 + 200 units (1000*20%)

                              = 5,600 units

Total cost = $2,540 + $351,000

                =$353,540

Cost per unit  =  Total cost / Completed goods

                       = $353,540 /5,600 units

                       = $63.13

Even though the 200 units (1000*20%) are completed and are included in calculating the cost per unit but they are not transferred to the finished goods only 5,400 units are transferred to finished goods.

The only reason for the 200 units inclusion on calculating the cost per units is that they are complete and in the total cost they are included as they were incurred alongside the 5400 units transferred.

fiasKO [112]

Answer:

Pronghorn Inc.

Inventory Turnover = 7 times

Days in inventory = 52.14 days

Gross profit rate = 47.86%

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Beginning inventory $10,620

Ending inventory 13,430

Average inventory = $12,025 ($10,620 + $13,430)/2

Cost of goods sold 84,175

Sales 146,100

Gross profit = $69,925 ($146,100 - $84,175)

Inventory Turnover = Cost of Goods Sold/Average Inventory

= $84,175/$12,025

= 7 times

Days in inventory = 365/7 = 52.14 days

Gross profit rate = Gross profit/Sales * 100

= $69,925/$146,100 * 100

= 47.86%
