Answer:

In 1972 this Cold War was In its height. These differences in cultural, political and economic opinions between Russia and the United States had high stress that would be felt throughout the rest of the world. The term "frozen this used because there was no immediate dispute because of the knowledge that any attempt by either side could lead to total death. The purpose is referred to as "mutually-assured death." Nevertheless, both countries armed heavily in atomic arms to make for what could have been World War III. This battle for dominance was demonstrated through proxy wars (3rd party wars) all around the world, propaganda, and spying, mental warfare, and technical power competitions, e.g., the race to develop and utilize spacecraft. Throughout these 40 or so years of this matter, nationalistic beliefs rose, causing countries to show a sense of hatred and hostility towards others who did not expect the same thing. The 1972 Summit program was so significant because it took Canada and the USSR to suffer, and still, consider each other despite their contradicting opinions.

Thousands of English Puritans arrived in Massachusetts Bay during the Great Migration. Why were they coming to the colony?
Misha Larkins [42]
The correct answer is
D. They fled from religious persecution in England.

They were puritans so everyone in Europe disliked them. Puritans were something like extremist protestant Christians with extreme work ethics and ideas of Christian purity. This wasn't approved by the regular Catholics or by the common protestants.

krek1111 [17]

The things that interested Columbus the most in his first meeting with the Taino, as he himself wrote in his journal, were the abundant possesion of gold that the Taino showed and the inferred knowledge of them of the places where the gold could be found. In his opinion it was worthy to try to convert them to Christianity.
