Look at the steps used when solving 4(x – 3) = 8

Mathematics

Answer:

4(x – 3) = 8

4x - 12 = 8   u multiply 4 by x and 3

4x = 8 + 12  u switch 12 to the other side to leave x alone and when doing that u change its symbol to - to +

4x = 20   now ur going to switch 4 to the other side and since its multiplication it going to change to division

x = 20/4

x= 5

VARVARA [1.3K]
It's A because if you divide any number of hours and it's corresponding distance from data table shown in A by a number to get one hour you get a distance of 25 kilometers, for example ; 2 hours and 50 kilometers, divide it by 2 to get 1 hour and 25 kilometers. Or 6 hours and 150 kilometers divided by 6 to get 1 hour and 25 kilometers Therefore it is 25 kilometers per hour .

How do map help us to determine direction and dimension
arsen [322]

Answer:

  • scale
  • orientation

Step-by-step explanation:

Maps are <em>drawn to scale</em>. This ensures that distances on the map are related to distances in the mapped area by a specific ratio. Measurements on the map can then be directly translated to measurements in the mapped area.

Maps are often <em>oriented</em>. Maps intended to be used outdoors are often oriented so that North is toward the top of the map. Carefully drawn maps for use indoors, such as evacuation route maps or mall store locators, are oriented so the direction you're facing when looking at the map is also the direction that is "up" on that map. That means locations that are shown as to the right of a give point on the map can be expected to be to the right of that point in the mapped area.

___

Over large areas of the Earth's surface different kinds of maps cope in different ways with the fact that the Earth is not flat. The best job is done by a globe, which matches the shape of the Earth. Flat maps make use of different kinds of projections, so that areas of more interest to the map-maker are better represented as to relative size and distance. (The scale necessarily varies from one part of the map to another.)

Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

Obj Function, Max P=8w+16b

Subject to the Constraints

3w+2l≤80

4w+10b≤100

w≥6

b>0

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of Wren's birdhouse built=w

Let the number of bluebirds birdhouse built=b

Constraint:Labour

Each wren birdhouse takes 3 hours of labor.

Each bluebird house requires 2 hours of labor.

The craftsman has available 80 hours of labor

Formulated as an inequality:

3w+2l≤80

Constraint: Lumber

Each wren birdhouse requires 4 units of lumber.

Each bluebird birdhouse 10 units of lumber.

The craftsman has available 100 units of lumber

Formulated as an inequality:

4w+10b≤100

The craftsman wants to build at least 6 wren houses.

w≥6

Since he builds the two kinds of house, b>0 and w>0.

Objective Function

Wren houses profit $8 each and bluebird houses profit $16 each.

The Objective of the function is to make profit, so we maximize.

Obj Function, Max P=8w+16b

The linear programming problem is therefore stated below:

Obj Function, Max P=8w+16b

Subject to the Constraints

3w+2l≤80

4w+10b≤100

w≥6

b>0

Pleaseeeee answer correctly !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will mark Brianliest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lelu [443]

Answer:

45 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the Pythagorean Theorem. Imagine a line connecting the ends of the right angle you made by driving. It would make a right triangle. You are trying to find the hypotenuse. Use the formula a^{2} +b^{2} =c^{2}. Square 27, or multiply 27 by 27, to get 729. Add this to the square of 36, 1296. So c^{2} = 2025. Find the square root of 2025. \sqrt{2025} = 45. Hope this helped ^^

The difference between the amounts of interest Marcus and Gianna paid for their car loan is $50

<h3>The amount and simple interest</h3>

The formula for calculating the amount on simple interest is given as:

A = P + I

I = PRT
A = PRT + P

Given the following paramteers

A = 10000(0.047)(5) + 100000

A = 2350 + 10000
A = 12350

For Gianna

A = 10000(0.045)(5) + 100000

A = 2250 + 10000
A = 12250

Difference =  12350 - 12250 = $50

Hence the difference between the amounts of interest Marcus and Gianna paid for their car loan is $50
