History

Being this political cartoon takes an isolationist viewpoint regarding the events leading to World War II, a piece of evidence which would support the cartoon would be the Neutrality Acts of 1935, 1936, and 1937. These acts prevented trade and travel with any aggressive country. These rules are connected to how the US got involved in WWI and therefore was an attempt to prevent that once again.
A challenge to the cartoon would be the Lend-Lease Act which officially allowed the selling of arms on credit to non-aggressive countries. Essentially allowing the US to trade openly with the Allies and most important Great Britain. This act shows the US's hand and reveals who the government wished to side with if we were to enter the war.

Why were people so angry, to the point of violence, about the integration of our schools?
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

They did not want to share equal rights with African Americans.

Explanation:

School integration ended race-based segregation within American public and private schools. After the Civil War, the Southern States tried to limit the rights of African American by implementing the laws of Jim Crow. The Southern found a way to keep the African Americans separate by introducing the segregation laws. These laws separated African Americans from the white by building different schools, public places, parks, etc.

When the government decided to look upon the issue of education, Brown v. Board of Education took decision declared the same school to everyone. Most southerners had no plan of desegregating their schools and were angry and in point of violence as they did not want to maintain a separate school for the African American.

Elza [17]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although you forgot to include the text, the name, or the link to it, we can comment on the following general terms.

Machiavelli can only offer knowledge to the Prince because the Prince is in the position to led and exert ist power and dominion over its subjects and its territories.

Originally, these ideas from Machiavelli were dedicated to Lorenzo de Medici. They are a series of rules and recommendations about cruel leadership and how to rule a government. However, changing the perspective, some of these ideas can serve to teach some interesting lessons to modern-day leaders.

Machiavelli explains some ideas and techniques on how the Prince can increase its power and exert control through fear and lack of compassion. His book, "The Prince" became one of the "must-read" for politicians around the world.
