1. f(9) → x = 9; f(x) = -3x + 10

f(9) = -3(9) + 10 = -27 + 10 = -17

2. f(-2) → x = -2; f(x) = 4x - 1

f(-2) = 4(-2) - 1 = -8 - 1 = -9
