The Mayflower Compact was the first document of self-government of the Plymouth Colony. The compact was a document that was signed aboard the Mayflower ship on November 11, 1620. The compact was signed by 41 passengers (out of 101). Most of these passengers were separatist Puritans, adventurers and tradesmen.
