Papessa [141]

Answer:

The sentence that best describes the difference is The cat in "The Golden Cat" is regal but a source of joy and comfort to the narrator; the cat in "The Cat and the Moon" is also regal but distant.

Explanation:

One of the principal differences that we can see between how the narrators represent the cats in these two poems is that the cat in "The Golden Cat" is compared to the sun, and everything that is connected to it, while the cat in "The Cat and the Moon" as it says has a connection with the moon, total opposites but beautiful, brilliant and impressive.

Is the Truth Table valid or invalid. Explain your answer.
raketka [301]

The given Truth Table is valid

How to determine the validity of the Truth Table?

The Truth Table is given as:

P Q ¬Q P & ¬Q P v Q ∴Q → P

T T F F T T

T F T T T T

F T F F T F

F F T F F T

To determine the validity of the Truth Table, we take note of the following

  • Complement rule: This negates a statement; it is represented with ¬
  • AND Operator: This is represented with & or AND. The result of the AND operator is true if both statements are true, other the result is false
  • OR Operator: This is represented with v or OR. The result of the OR operator is true if at least one statement is true, other the result is false

Using the above highlights, the truth table follows the above rules

Hence, the given Truth Table is valid

hodyreva [135]

The sentence which correctly used the hyphen correctly is B. Fifty-two percent of Americans say pepperoni is their go-to pizza topping.

What is a hyphen?

This is a sign used to join words to indicate that they have a combined meaning or they are linked in grammar of a sentence to indicate the division of a word at the end of a line or indicate a missing element.

The main purpose of a hyphen is to glue words together to notify readers that two or more elements in a senetence are linked.

Hence, hyphens are used if the two or more words are functioning together as an adjective before the noun they are describing.

1- In Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, all books are banned and burned upon discovery. In the Nazi Germany, books considered to be subversive to the regime would be burned to keep the population from generating ideologies that could challenge Nazism.

2- Was Bradbury correct in his literal interpretation of “Where they burn books, they will also ultimately burn people.”? In some way, yes. When knowledge is not only limited, but also controlled, the people tied to it are led to their demise. Just like in the novel, people in Nazi Germany who owned subversive books were punished not only by the burning of their property, but also by the discrimination that followed after such a public form of consequence. If a person was seen being confiscated subversive books, they may be considered as an ally to the Jews, which meant pretty much the same as being the enemy back then. Because of the extreme exclusion and suffering that followed this punishment, it's almost like dying a slow death.
In this way, the phrase “Where they burn books, they will also ultimately burn people.” is both literal and figurative.
