Why does water move along its concentration gradients?

Biology

There is an electrical gradient and there is a concentration gradient.

1.) Chemical gradient better known as concentration gradient is much more powerful and compelling than the electrical gradient.

2.) Water is a polar molecule, meaning one side it positively charged while the other is negatively charged. This polar charged molecule causes water to have a weaker electrical gradient, thus the water has to move on its concentration gradient.

Well Selective breeding is where animals will mate with others who has Positive traits that they'd like there young/ken to have. We tare down trees which kills animals and also we kill animals for food or whatever which decreases the population. Researchers discover another cytokine (X) that is upregulated even more than Z as a result of exercise. Cytokine X binds to rece
Elden [556K]

Angiogenesis is the new blood vessels formation. After strenuous exercise, local [X] would be least similar to post-exercise [Z] in subjects in group A.

What is the impact of exercise?

After any exercise, a person's body repairs or replaces muscle fibers damaged during the exercise by fusing muscle fibers together to form new muscle protein strands called myofibrils.

These replaced myofibrils increase in thickness and number to form muscle hypertrophy. These larger muscles require more blood vessels.

If cytokine X acts to promote angiogenesis in the new muscle tissue, it will mean a person would expect large increases in the local concentration of X.

Thus the group that is least similar to this large increase in local [X] would be the group with the less increase in [Z] which is group A.

Thus, the correct option is for subjects in group A.

since cells are filled with water, what would happen to biologically important molecules if they were held together with ionic b
Dafna11 [192]

Ionic bonding involves electrostatic interactions between oppositely charged ions, and can significantly enhance the binding strength of biomolecules immobilized to materials.

A chemical link known as an ionic bond occurs when an electron is transferred from one atom to another. Ionic bonding requires the presence of an electron acceptor and an electron donor, which is frequently a metal (often a nonmetal). Electrovalence is the process of moving electrons. A positive ion, also known as a cation, is created when an atom loses one or more electrons. The other atom that picks up one or more electrons will change into a negative ion known as an anion. The elemental name is modified by adding a -ide at the end to designate the ion that accepts the electron. For instance, the name of the anion of chlorine is chloride while the anion of sulfur is sulfide.

Antinomycin A is a poison that affects the electron transport chain and renders it nonfunctional. In the presence of Antinomycin
garik1379 [7]

Answer: options are not given, here are the options.

Speed up

Slow down

Remain the same

The correct answer is In the presence of Antinomycin the Citric Acid Cycle would SLOW DOWN.

Explanation:

Actinomycin is an antibiotics gotten from streptomyces which is use to inhibit which inhibit mitochondriisl eclectron transport chain. It is a poison that affect the electron transport chain, non functional and it slow down citric acid cycle because it has the ability to block the electron Transport chain thereby slowing down citric acid cycle because it inhibit or slow down succinate-cytochrome c reductase in the electron transport chain so as to block the oxidation of NADH and ATP production.
