<em>Ability</em> means possession of the means or skills to do something. It is usually an inborn power to do something especially well. But it can also be acquired through knowledge, learning a new skill or developing an existing talent.
<em>Manual dexterity</em> is the ability to use your hands in a coordinated, very skillful way. An example: you are able to grasp, hold and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise and accurate movements. Your ability to use your hands this way makes these movements look easy. Development of these skills occurs over time, starting in the childhood.
