It would have to be a hyperbole, because its definitely not an understatement or a simile. And a hyperbole is an exaggeration and i'm pretty sure that's an exaggeration. So the correct answer is A.) Hyperbole

What is the predicate?:
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

4. Should be studying

Explanation:

The predicate is the part of a sentence (or clause) that contains a verb, stating what the subject is doing, or describes the subject.

When we have a main verb and an auxiliary verb accompanying it, both of them together form the predicate. In the given sentence, we have a construction with a main verb to study and an auxiliary verb should: should be studying. If you chose just studying or should be as the predicate, that would be incorrect as those two options are not the complete predicate.

nlexa [21]

Answer: but

Explanation:

In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln designated the last Thursday in November as a national holiday of Thanksgiving ....... in 1939, President Franklin Roosevelt decreed that the holiday should always be celebrated on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Out of the options given, the answer is "but". This is the right answer as it'll be used to link both sentences regarding the two activities of the President's together.

The other options such as "for example", "therefore" and "so" when used doesn't make the sentence correct.
