I think the word <em>ghosts</em> creates a sense of loneliness. Of course it would depend on the context, but the word is not only used in fantastic stories about the souls that linger after death, it also can refer to a specific mood.

When someone has personal issues awaiting to be faced, it is ok to say you have "<em>ghosts</em>". It means you have unsolved issues, that probably are not visible, but are still there.

Also, ghosts creates the feeling of something that lingers in time, waiting alone for something to happen that could set it free, something that has been traped and is waiting for a liberation. It can be taken literally or as an image, in both cases, it gives the reader the sensation of loneliness.

The word "ghosts" creates a sense of loneliness. You know how Casper was all alone? And how ghosts are invisible? Ghosts may feel lonely, and people can feel like ghosts, they feel invisible and alone.

Explain the central difference between main details and supporting details of a piece of writing.
mihalych1998 [28]
Main detail is the main point of your paragraph/essay. you want to be able to start and finish with that so it will remain within the reader thought for longer.
(We Brits have a saying "if a piece of literacy is stuck in your head, the writer has accomplished his or her goal" )
the supporting details are smaller points that correlate and support the main point. note that you should never start with a supporting point, nor should you ever end with one, it is simply there to extend and highlight the main detail. starting or ending with supporting details will ensure that the reader will almost instantaneously forget your essay and they may even find it boring because it doesn't show consistency.

What does the clue word “however” indicate?
MrMuchimi
The clue word "however" almost always indicates a "contrast". This is because when using this word, the writer can on one hand agree with what he or she is saying, but offer a different point of view to be considered.

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!!<br> How are Sonnet 55 and Love is Not All similar?
marysya [2.9K]

Shakespeare's sonnets are some of the most famous love poetry ever scratched out on paper, but in Sonnet 55, the L-word is pretty dang scarce. The closest we get is waaaay at the end, in line 14, when the speaker says his beloved will live in his poem and in "lovers' eyes." So even when he does spell it out, it's not a direct come-on: not a declarative verb like "I love you, sweetie" but a noun referring to other people who love the same man.

So why isn't the speaker himself more upfront about his lovin' feelings? If you read closely, you'll see that the sonnet is actually saturated in love—not a lot of declarations, but a ton of implied feelings. Love is the reason this poem is being written, the source of the praise, and the reason that this beloved's memory will outlast the entire world
