All living things need to make ENERGY to function and live. It is needed to grow, reproduce, move, and to work.

Plants need energy to make produce oxygen and glucose to...

Humans need energy for respiration(breathing out CO2 and taking in oxygen) to...

Bacteria too...for something that I can't think of at the moment:P
