<span>Empress Lady of Si-Ling was known for her pushing of the silk industry in China. She was the wife of a very famous emperor named Huang-ti an she worked hard to encourage the growth and care of the mulberry tree as well as the growth of the worms that lived in that tree and produce much silk. She personally worked to care for silkworms and is credited also for the invention of the loom.</span>
