Hey there!!

Given equation :

( x - 1 ) / 4 = ( x + 2 ) / 3

First step we will need to take is to cross-multiply. In cross-multiplication, we will have t multiply the denominator with the numerator on both the sides. In this case, we will have to multiply 4 with x + 2 and 3 with x - 1.

... 4 ( x + 2 ) = 3 ( x - 1 )

... 4x + 8 = 3x - 3

Subtract 3x on both sides.

... x + 8 = -3

Subtract 8 on both sides

... x = - 11

Hope my answer helps!

A bullet is found embedded in the wall of a room 2.2 m above the floor. The bullet entered the wall going upward at an angle of
soldi70 [24.7K]

The distance from the wall was the bullet fired if the gun was held 1.1 m above the floor will be 4.25 meters.

What is trigonometry?

Trigonometric functions examine the interaction between the dimensions and angles of a triangular form.

A projectile is tracked down and implanted in the mass of a room 2.2 m over the floor. The shot entered the wall going vertically at a point of 15°.

Because the gaps are so low and the bullet's speed is so high, we may treat the bullet's route as a straight line.

The distance is given as,

⇒ (2.2 - 1.1) / sin 15°

⇒ 1.1 / sin 15°

⇒ 4.25 meters

The distance from the wall was the bullet fired if the gun was held 1.1 m above the floor will be 4.25 meters.

More about the trigonometry link is given below.

What ate the coordinates of the fourth point that could be connected with (-8, 0), (1,0), and (1-5)
Gnesinka [82]

Well you can find out by the question it's pretty easy....

you have to find the same x coordinates and then see what the difference is in the y coordinate. For example, (1,0), and (1,-5) the difference is -5. So for (-8,0), and (1,0) your answer would be (8,-5)

It should be 34/5*. If you create an improper fraction out of the original one, then creating the reciprocal will be easier.

What is the value on the number line for the blue dot
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

I believe 4, but I might be wrong.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you look, it's going down -4 every time. So that means if you're going up, it's going +4 after you skip a space. So, skip, then 0, then skip, and that's 4.
